Pike Youth Soccer
Club, Indy Parks, and 50 volunteers planted 65 trees 11/1/08 at the Mary & John
Geisse Soccer Complex. This area, just south of the Mayor's Community Gardens,
has had no trees for more than 70 years. KIB's NeighborWoods plans to
replenish the Indianapolis tree canopy by planting 100,000 trees. Many thanks
to all involved including IPL for the trees, Veolia Water, the Irsays, and
especially KIB staff, Board members, and volunteers for its terrific work to
better our community.
